Each dish is hand-made, the fern leaf is put into the bottom of the dish. Then we apply different types of coloring around the leaf before lifting it out again. Because of this hand-made process every dish is different.

Sometimes the glazes and other colors (oxides) will run together so much that the imprint of the fern is almost lost. 

Please use the following pictures as a color guide only. Click on any picture to get a larger picture to see more detail but remember a photograph can not do these beautiful pieces justice.
